Aftermath of the strike...

Sat 26 April

Have some errands on hand to get done, like cutting hair, grocery shopping etc. Suppose to have a gathering in evening, but guess I will give it a miss!

OK I have to walk.

When I stepped, saw so many people out there, all heading 1 direction, all heading downtown. Haa very interesting...

Also many cars, all heading downtown too!

On top of these, can see people on wheels eg. skateboards, rollerblades, bicycle etc.

Well, by hook or by crook, no choice, people have to think of alternative ways, NOT to stay at home on a pretty Sat afternoon, despite all the crappy strike.

ps: oh yes, got a new haircut, new season new image :D yeah

Sun 27 Apr

Hello, it's time to get back to work!

Haahaa TTC is back! Today, this evening at 6pm, the team of 9000 workers are back!

A legislation was passed this afternoon to end the transit strike, ordering staff to get back on track, despite cries of disagreement from the union.

Guess by passing the legislation, this is the last resort to bring the transit back on track. The abrupt declaration of strike, the failure to provide 48 hours advance notice, and the hilarious compensation demands from the union, have resulted in this law being passed. And this is also seen as a short-term quick solution to prevent the havoc on tomorrow Monday's traffic. On long-term, why don't they pass a law to abolish unions then, or to invite more competition into the market?

ps: overall, it's a heave of relief...
