Election Day

17 March is by-election day.

By-election is defined as the election held in a single electoral district. It is held to fill a vacancy in the House of Commons that comes about other than through the dissolution of the House for a general election. More than 1 by-election may be held at the same time. It is called for in the same manner as the general election.
