buzzy weekend
This is a buzzy weekend, with so many events going on that I don't know which one to go to. Most of the events are held around the Bloor and Dundas area.
* Xmas/ Santa Claus Parade along University Avenue - This is more of a family event, much to the happiness of the kids. Early in the morning, can see families and all those kids in the subway, carrying foldable chairs, food, and all heading towards the route of the parade.
* Art Gallery of Ontario open house - The AGO is finally opened, and the opening 3 days are flooded with people lining up outside, despite of the cold and rain. FYI: The external roof is designed by Frank Gehry. I have also seen his other works in Dusseldorf, and Prague.
* Reel Asian International Film Festival - Toronto's renown International Film Festival that screens Asian films and documentaries.
The festival is Canada's premier pan-Asian international film festival, fostering the exchange of cultural and artistic ideals between east and west. It provides a public forum for homegrown Asian media artists and their work, and fuels the growing appreciation for Asian cinema in Canada.
