Visit to Waterloo

The famous Battle of Waterloo took place here at Waterloo in 1814. This was the last battle fought by Napoleon and he lost this battle to 190,000 men from 7 nations.

A Dutch monument was erected at the place where the Prince of Orange (son of the Netherlands' King William I) was wounded. A giant mound was constructed here, using 300,000m³ of earth taken from other parts of the battlefield.
