Traffic Misery...
Strike at Brussels Airport over
Fri 13/04/07 - The strike that had brought Belgium's busiest airport to a stand-still since this morning has ended. Security staff and fire fighters at Brussels Airport in Zaventem downed tools in a row about working conditions. Thousands of travellers were left waiting in the airport departure lounge, while those wishing to return to Zaventem had their flights diverted to other Belgian Airports or to Paris or Amsterdam. The action came about as a result of discontent at working conditions among the airport's security staff, that there is a complete lack of people-management at the airport.
